She graduated from Istanbul University Department of Communication

Dürdane Ünver had started illumination studies in 1976 under the supervision of Prof. A. Süheyl Ünver, Azade Akar and Cahide Keskiner in Topkapı Palace Atelier and authorized by A. Süheyl Ünver in illumination art. 

She teaches in Turkish Arts Education Center of  National Palaces Department of Turkish Grand National Assemble Directorate and Yıldız Palace Şale Mansion and Traditional Turkish Arts Foundation.

The artist has been involving in group exhibitions as well as opening personal ones since 1978 and was awarded with Achievement Award in miniature contest held by Turkish Culture Service Foundation in 1991.

" I maintain katı' art in compliance with traditions however make an effort to combine old motifs with the new and create original compositions heavily based on miniature. Such as I benefited from redbuds on the corners of the writing for the first time. Technically I move the edges of the paper with embossing. "
