Graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, Department of Photography

Fulya Can has been working on the art of illumination since 2000 and received lessons from Sabriye Şeker, Semih İrteş, Mamure Öz and Nilgün Gencer.

While we look at the classical illumination art, we may observe the evolution of this art experienced during the centuries. Nowadays, illumination is not regarded only as a book decoration art so kept to be practiced through different point of views and several materials and techniques. 

Thanks to the masters of early periods who tended to stylization instead of imitating the nature, motifs the basic elements of this art emerged.
