" Making such dolls can be described as long pursuit started as a hobby and turned into a profession and also phases of life because it reflects traditions, historical persons and daily life.

So as to make a good doll such knowledge like anatomy and proportion, hand skill, tradition, dressing, tailoring, if needed, jewelery, and shoe-making and their usage of accurately is a must. Besides, one set his/her heart on this art with a great patience and effort.

I follow the style of classical Zehra Saner and prepare all details fully by hand and pay most attention to descriptions of face, body and attitude. I first searched traditional issues in detail according to its original and shape them giving worth to proportions. I find and use suitable fabric and motif for the dress. I design and develop many doll compositions and subjects on my own.

When it comes to talk about this art as a profession not a hobby, as it is completely hand-made, mass production is out of question and needs to be regarded with high prices. That's why most those in interest and collectioners pay attention to them. Since we facilitated from gum targacanth, cotton, wire, thin paper and colour we do not find it difficult to secure such materials for production.

It is known that doll making has been realized in all parts of Turkey with different materials, technique and aim throughout the history however considering that doll made of  gum targacanth was started with Zehra Müfit Saner born in 1880 it is regarded to be very new. I heard that there made so many efforts in this branch of art in different levels due to importance given to this art. In the name of introducing such performances, it is my dream to make use of all such performances by holding an open exhibition and establishment of a handmade doll museum in the future.

I think that crafting dolls made of gum targacanth will contribute to our country which unsuccessful with regard to souvenirs if necessary steps are taken in terms of tourism and promotion of Turkey."
