She started illumination and miniature works with her master, Prof. A. Süheyl Ünver in 1953 and received calligraphy lessons from Macit Ayral; painting from Şeref Andik.

She was appointed as Turkish Decoration Arts Expert to İstanbul Yıldız Porcelain Factory in 1965 and first of all founded there Turkish Decoration Atelier there. She began to work as academic member of Mimar Sinan University Department of Traditional Turkish Decoration Arts in 1982.

She attended numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad and opened six personal exhibitions held in different dates.

She was awarded with Mevlana Great Prize in 2000 and has many acknowledgements and plaques given from several organizations and institutions.

Her performances are collected in a book entitled with “Book of Miniatures” and published with the efforts of Municipality of Zeytinburnu for the sake of her 50th anniversary in art in 2008.

She has still carrying on her performances in Illumination and Miniature Atelier.
