Graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Science Department of Physic - Mathematics

She had special lessons from Prof. A. Sühely Ünver (1958-1970), and Rikkat Kunt (1976-1986) according to master-apprentice method and gained her authorization from Süheyl Ünver and Rikkat Kunt.

She served as an academic member in Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Traditional Turkish Handcrafts Division of Illumination and Miniature.

She got Proficiency in Art/PhD in Selçuk University, Institute of Social Sciences, and Branch of Illumination. İnci Ayan Birol became Assistant Professor in Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and Department of Traditional Handcrafts in 1992. 

She gave under graduate and graduate lessons in illumination-miniature branches as a founder academic member in Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Traditional Turkish Handcrafts between the years of 2001 and 2006.

She established Grup Nokta with her students in 2000.    

She published the book entitled with “Motifs in Turkish Decorative Arts” with Çiçek Derman in 1991; “The Design of  Pattern and The Technique and Types of Drawing in Turkish Decorative Arts” in 2008. 

She can speak English and German (intermediate level)

She attended numerous exhibitions and conferences at home and abroad.
