Selma Kadriye Kutlu has been crafting dolls and puppets for 17 years as well as engages in illumination, miniature and painting. 

" Crafting of dolls is a kind of art in terms of being a record carrying past to present, three dimensional and requiring great effort and long term handcrafting. Although our works are highly appreciated and to which attention is paid unfortunately cannot reach the large masses. I employ nature-friendly and traditional materials in terms of technical aspects in my works. Mostly I work on female figures whose looking are soft, a bit cynical and giving people a sense of joy."
