Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu has been still working upon the art of calligraphy with Hüseyin Kutlu since 1995 and also collaborated with Prof. Ali Alpaslan and Ass. Prof. Ali Rıza Özcan relating to calligraphy and received paper marbling lessons from Sadreddin Özçimi who authorized him in paper marbling art in 2005.  

After having education in Marmara University, Faculty of Religious Sciences he earned his MA degree in Marmara University, Social Sciences Institute and History of Turkish-Islamic Arts and got PhD degree  via doctoral thesis entitled with "Osmanlı Camisinde Mihrab Önü Mekânı" in Turkology Studies Research Center and Department of Turkish Art in the same university.   

He served as both academic member and dean in Sakarya University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Traditional Handcrafts between 2003 and 2007. 

Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu has attended several exhibitions both at home and abroad and opened personal paper of marbling exhibitions in Istanbul, London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. 

Still works as Ass. Prof. in Marmara University, Faculty of Science and Letters and Department of History of Art
