She received kaatı (decorative paper cutting) lessons from Hikmet Barutçugil; marbling from Hikmet Barutçugil and had illumination courses in Topkapı Palace Turkish Decoration Arts Painting House.

She can speak English (beginner level).

"I consider that we should present a point of view that includes traditional inside but opens to international with modern interpretations. I endeavor to tell stories and show reflections of old and new Istanbul in my compositions. More importance should be given for these arts’ survival and development."
