Mehmet Tamdeğer was trained by such master like Mikael Zilcan and Kirkor Küçükyan and has been working in this sector since 1949. Mehmet Tamdeğer, the most experienced and oldest master of 400-years old traditional Turkish cymbal making technique, producing %100 handmade bells. 

" The materials employed in traditional cymbal making technique remain the same but there needs to be changes in bells in compliance with the musical styles and technologies. That's why we should be aware of new developments. While we are producing bells with different characteristic we achieve difference in bell profiles."
